The Giver

While reading The Giver by Lois Lowry there have been several again and again things from the book. One such again and again is the Twelve ceremony. In chapter 2 Jonas and his Family unit talk about what their next ceremony is going to be when,  "Jonas shivered- The Ceremony of Tweleve was the last of the Ceremonies. The most important." This keeps on showing again and again because to Jonas it is the last ceremonies he will ever have. The ceremony of Twelve, the last ceremony for the Eleven. They also get an assignment, which they are assigned a job.

while reading The Giver by Lois Lowry there have been many memories shard by Jonas and the citizens. One such memory is Jonas and the Airplane memory. In chapter 1 Jonas and the citizens See a plane up in the sky when, "Then one more time, a moment later, from the opposite direction, the same plane- stop what they were doing and wait, confused, for an explanation of the frightening event." This memory might be important because it shows us that Jonas and th citizens of the community are scared of airplanes. Also this tells us at least something about all of the citizens in the community.
